The long-awaited season 2 premiere of Kings of Joburg was one for the record books, with everyone from fans of the show to Mzansi’s greatest celebs going all out for the occasion.

We believe that Zolisa Xaluva, who portrays Mo on the series, and Connie Ferguson, the show’s producer and a mermaid, made the entrance that left everyone panting for air.
The pair was accompanied to The Zone in Rosebank by members of the Crusaders motorcycle club. According to The Citizen, Connie and Zolisa both ululated while addressing the roaring throng.
“[Connie] expressed how much the season meant to her and her anticipation for the upcoming premiere of the show. “[Zolisa] also shared a brief message expressing his elation that the big day had finally arrived,” according to the publication.
“We have waited a long time for this. Connie was cited as saying, “We’ve sweated blood over recreating this show because, as Samaad will tell you, Sho was still an integral part of season two and where the show was headed, and just before we began pre-production, we fell ill and lost the largest part of ourselves.”
She also mentioned that it was crucial for the squad to maintain Shona’s legacy, hence it took them a long time to complete the season.
